
Dr. Alexa Rihani
Dr. Rihani hails from metropolitan Detroit area and completed her undergraduate studies at The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2001 with a BS in Biological Anthropology and her MA from Wayne State University in General Biology. She then completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2008.
Dr. Rihani was commissioned as an Officer in the United States Army Dental Corps in 2008 and served for over 14 years beginning with a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Fort Carson, CO. She served subsequent tours in Sinai, Egypt; Vicenza, Italy; and Camp Casey, South Korea before being assigned to Fort Bragg, NC as a brigade dentist.
After practicing general dentistry for 10 years, Dr. Rihani began endodontic residency in 2018. After endodontic residency completion in 2020, she successfully challenged the American Board of Endodontics and was awarded diplomate status in April 2022.
Dr. Rihani resides in central Virginia with her family. When not working, or taking care of the family’s five pets, she enjoys skiing, scuba diving, hiking, cooking, reading and traveling with her family.
